I felt so lucky to teach an amazing group of women this morning, and our theme was ‘let go’ in honor of tonight’s full moon.
Did you see the moon last night? Did it look pink to you?
Well, don’t worry you don’t need to get your eyes checked because the moon is not actually pink but got its name from Native American roots.
A full moon occurs every 29.5 days (although it looks full for a few days), so the Native Americans used the full moons to track seasons since they didn’t have recorded calendars to separate time, days and seasons.
The ‘pink’ moon is not because of its color but the color of the flowers that bloom during the springtime – a beautiful, pink, wild ground phlox.
Okay, so what does all of this have to do with you?
The spiritual meaning of the pink moon relates to blooming flowers. It’s a time to focus on new and exciting opportunities that could bloom in your life this season.
I invite you to take an active role in bringing what you want into your life. This can be a tangible goal you have in mind or even a state of being (peace, patience, calm, contentment, happiness).
The first step is letting go of patterns, habits, and beliefs that are not bringing you closer to this goal.
To get started do the guided ‘Let Go’ mantra meditation we did in class tonight by clicking on the video below.
Then reflect on what you want to bring into your life. Do the meditation for longer if you’d like and as many times daily this season to remind you to let go of what you don’t need.
Report back on the EW Community Facebook group and let us know what you’re hoping to bring into your life this season.
