WINTER SOLSTICE RITUALToday is the darkest day of the year – the WINTER SOLSTICE.

Nature is giving us cues to draw inward and reflect.

Ride the energy of today’s winter solstice to reflect on what you don’t want to bring with you into the New Year.

What habits, beliefs, thoughts or patterns are holding you back from how you want to feel?

Once you know how you want to feel, you can start making decisions that support that feeling. For me, I want to free happy, light and free.

How about you?

Your Action Steps: 

  1. Get a pen and paper, light a candle and set a timer for 10-20 minutes. Free flow and write down everything you don’t want to bring into 2018. Don’t overthink it or judge what you’re writing, just write.
  2. When the timer goes off pause and notice how you feel. Take three deep breaths – allowing 5 seconds for your inhale and 5 seconds on your exhale.
  3. Now either burn (safely) or tear your paper into pieces and throw it away. This action symbolizes your desire to let these things go.
  4. Blow out your candle and notice if you feel any lighter or brighter.

By clearing out mental and energetic space, you open doors to allow something better and healthier to come in. EXCITING!

You might find yourself resisting this exercise. Don’t. I promise it’s worth it.
